Participants will:
Strengthen anatomical knowledge related to advanced implant surgery
Gain competence in advanced bone augmentation, flap design, and complication management
Observe and practice zygomatic implant placement techniques on cadavers
Improve decision-making regarding challenging and atrophic jaw cases
Learn step-by-step surgical protocols and prosthetic considerations

Your Instructor
Prof Dr Emir Yüzbaşıoğlu
Prof. Dr. Emir Yüzbaşıoğlu was born in 1978 in Lüleburgaz, Kırklareli. After completing his primary and secondary education in Kütahya and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, he graduated from Antalya Anadolu High School in 1996.
He completed his dental master's degree in 2003 at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Dentistry and earned his Ph.D. in Prosthetic Dentistry from the same university's Health Sciences Institute in 2006.
Specialist in Prosthetic Dentistry -
In 2010, Dr. Yüzbaşıoğlu was appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2012, he began working as a researcher at the university's Regenerative and Restorative Medicine Research Center, Biomaterials and Translational Dentistry Research Laboratory. In 2017, he successfully passed the examination conducted by the Inter-University Council Presidency and was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Prosthetic Dentistry. He was promoted to full Professor in 2022.
Since 2012, he has served for six terms on the Education Commission of the Istanbul Chamber of Dentists. He was a member of the Specialty in Medicine Board (TUK) 3rd Term Prosthetic Dentistry Specialty Training Curriculum Development Commission and served as a member of the 19th Term Central Audit Board of the Turkish Dental Association.
He currently continues his duties as President of the Education Commission of the Turkish Prosthodontics and Implantology Association (TPİD), member of the Education Commission of the Association for the Evaluation of Dental Education Programs (DEPAD), and member of the 20th Term Central Executive Board of the Turkish Dental Association.
Dr. Yüzbaşıoğlu is an active member of the following organizations:
