IMPORTANT NOTE Live cases must be requested and organized in advance. Scheduling depends on patient availability, patient consent, and Prof. Dr. Özkan Onuk's availability. The level of hands-on participation during live surgery is determined by the supervising surgeon according to case complexity, patient safety, and institutional rules.

Professor Dr. Özkan Onuk is an experienced urologist and academic surgeon with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of a wide range of urological diseases. His main areas of interest include stone surgery, uro-oncology, laparoscopic surgery, andrology, female and male incontinence surgery, endourology, and pediatric urology. With many years of clinical and surgical experience, he provides comprehensive care for both adult and pediatric patients, focusing on advanced surgical techniques and individualized treatment strategies.
Dr. Onuk completed his medical education at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, one of Turkey's most prestigious medical schools. He later completed his urology residency training at Taksim Training and Research Hospital, where he developed a strong foundation in both open and minimally invasive urological surgery. In recognition of his academic and clinical contributions, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2020 and the title of Professor in 2025.
Throughout his career, Dr. Onuk has worked in several major hospitals and academic institutions. He served as a urology specialist at Kastamonu Dr. Münif İslamoğlu State Hospital, İzmir Private Marine Hospital, Istanbul Murat Kölük State Hospital, and Gaziosmanpaşa Taksim Training and Research Hospital. He later joined Yeni Yüzyıl University Private Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital as a faculty member and continued there as an Associate Professor. Since 2021, he currently works at Biruni University and continues his academic and clinical practice there.
Professor Dr. Onuk is known for his high surgical volume and extensive operative experience. During his career, he has performed thousands of urological procedures, including more than a thousand percutaneous kidney stone surgeries and bladder cancer operations, as well as hundreds of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and reconstructive urological surgeries. His surgical expertise also includes complex pediatric urology procedures, such as hypospadias repair, bladder exstrophy reconstruction, and surgeries for ambiguous genitalia.
In addition to oncologic and reconstructive urology, Dr. Onuk is actively involved in the field of andrology and male sexual health. He has significant experience in penile prosthesis implantation, penile enlargement procedures, and modern regenerative treatments such as P-Shot, shockwave therapy (ESWT), and stem cell-based therapies. With hundreds of penile prosthesis procedures performed, he is recognized as a highly experienced surgeon in prosthetic urology.
Due to his experience and surgical expertise in penile prosthesis surgery, Dr. Onuk has been recognized by the world-renowned prosthetic urology pioneer Professor Steven K. Wilson as a Global Reference Center surgeon for penile prosthesis surgery, reflecting his commitment to high surgical standards and excellence in patient care.
Professor Dr. Onuk is also experienced in the surgical management of both female and male urinary incontinence, offering modern and minimally invasive treatment options aimed at improving patients' quality of life. His approach combines scientific evidence, advanced surgical techniques, and patient-centered care to achieve optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Turkish Medical Association, Turkish Urology Association, Turkish Andrology Association, and the European Association of Urology (EAU). Through his clinical work and academic involvement, Professor Dr. Onuk continues to contribute to the advancement of modern urological surgery while maintaining a strong focus on patient satisfaction and long-term outcomes.
