Professor Özmen received 6 international awards for studies conducted with TUBITAK scholarship.
Won EURAPS (European Association of Plastic Surgeons) Young Scholarship Award and studied craniofacial surgery in Sahlgrenska Academy, Sweden in 2004.
Received Best Experimental Study Award by Plastic Surgery Education Foundation (PSEF) – a very prestigious award in the U.S.A. and which is awarded only to only few people in Türkiye.
Gained the first rank for the Certified Wound Expert ICW Certificate in Germany in 2007.
Has 20 awards, including 8 international ones.
Member of Tissue Transplantation Scientific Committee of Ministry of Health since 2010.
Member of Turkish Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, Association of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, Turkish Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, International Society of Plastic Surgery, European Rhinoplasty Society, Turkish Association of Hair Transplant and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
