Service Description
A clinical fellowship training, often simply referred to as a fellowship, is a period of specialized medical training that occurs after completing residency training in a particular medical specialty. During a fellowship, physicians further develop expertise in a specific area within their chosen field. These fellowships typically last 6 months to one year, depending on the specialty and the specific focus of the fellowship. Fellowships provide intensive, "partially hands-on"(Depending on the department and supervisor physician) experience under the guidance of experienced mentors or attending physicians. They may involve clinical rotations, research projects, and additional coursework tailored to the particular subspecialty. The goal is to deepen knowledge and skills in a niche area of medicine, preparing the physician for advanced practice, academic research, or leadership roles within their specialty.
